IceFree Utility Panel

The IceFree Utility Panel is designed to be installed anywhere extra coverage is needed such as valleys, chimneys and other areas prone to ice buildup. The system is designed to eliminate ice and snow, keeping your home safer and reducing the risk of winter damage. This panel is 6″ wide and is guaranteed to heat the entire length of the panel.  The IceFree Utility Panel can be custom cut to fit the length any of your roof’s crickets and valleys.

Each panel is covered with a decorative metal cladding that will compliment the colors of your home. We have many panel colors to choose from.

Material Selection :-  Aluminum Alloy 6063, Temper – T5

Color :- Decorative Metal Cladding

Panel Size :- 6″ x 5′ – Designed to eliminate icicles and ice dams in roof valley and areas where a drain path is needed.

Heating Systems :- Commercial Grade-Self Regulating Heat Cable (min. 5 Watt per foot in 100-130 VAC or 208-240 VAC). Designed for 11mm or 14 mm heat cables. The Utility System requires 2 feet of Heat Cable per foot of panel.

Components :- The IceFree Utility Panel Includes: Aluminum Alloy Snap Loc Top, Aluminum Alloy Base Panel

Optional Items :- Ambient and/or Moisture Sensor Controllers.  Self regulating heat cable for gutters and downspouts.

Electrical Requirements :- N.E.C. 426-28 requires 30 mA Ground Fault circuit protection for snow and ice melting applications.

Decorative Cladding Color Options

IceFree Eave Panels are available with a decorative metal cladding.  The decorative metal cladding provides a cost effective, attractive finish that will complement the look of your home.  The Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 cladding carries a 30-year warranty.

Compatible Heating Cables or Heat Sources

IceFree Utility Panel have three separate heat channels.  One for 11mm and 14mm heat cables and another channel for 3/8″ radiant PEX tubing:

• Commercial Grade-Self Regulating Heat Cable (5, 6, 8, 10 or 12 Watt per foot in 100-130 VAC or 208-277 VAC)
• Requires 2 feet of Heat Trace Cable or Radiant PEX Tubing per foot of panel.
• Designed for 11mm or 14 mm heat cables.
• 3/8″ Radiant PEX Tubing Other Available Items
• Self regulating heat cable for gutters and downspouts.
• 30 mA Ground Fault Protection plug kits (120 volt or 240 volt kits are available).
• Moisture controller or ambient thermostats Junction box or “T” splice kits.
• Control panels.

Electrical and Environmental Requirements

Article 426-28 of the N.E.C. requires 30 mA Ground Fault circuit protection for snow and ice melting applications.
